Lacramioara and her sister Camelia live together with their mother and grandmother. Their father left them when they were little and their mother is fighting with depression ever since. The grandmother is the one who is taking care of the girls, but unfortunately she was also diagnosed with cancer. The family lives in the grandmother’s apartment and the only stable income supporting the family is her pension. Since a few months her mother also started working in a supermarket.

Lacramioara is a very sensitive girl, doing well at school and she is also a talented and prolific artist.

We met Lacramioara and Camelia during our visit to Cluj in August 2017, and what we can say is that these two sisters are pure joy. Their grandma raised them in the spirit of loving nature, being kind with animals and appreciating beauty. Grandma, a very wise and gentle woman, was their guardian, support and role model. The girls are taking turns as her nurses when needed.

Lacramioara would like to go to medical school and become a doctor.
